Bitcoin - The Currency of the Internet

A community dedicated to Bitcoin, the currency of the Internet. Bitcoin is a distributed, worldwide, decentralized digital money. Bitcoins are issued and managed without any central authority whatsoever: there is no government, company, or bank in charge of Bitcoin. You might be interested in Bitcoin if you like cryptography, distributed peer-to-peer systems, or economics. A large percentage of Bitcoin enthusiasts are libertarians, though people of all political philosophies are welcome.

Bitcoin simulator for Android (my first submitted app to playstore)

Hey guys. So I've had this app idea for a long time where users can virtually buy and sell bitcoins based on live market data. If you have an Android device that supports atleast 1080p resolution, please check it out:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mehrab.bittrader2
Right now, I'm trying to get more users to test out my app. I know there is alot of work ahead, so your feedback will help me out big time. Let me know about the issues that you had or new features that you would like to see.

I created a Bitcoin simulator which doesn't require a supercomputer, anyone interested?

It has multiple configurable miners each with their own hashing power, soft limit, cost per transaction (now assumed linear) and a setting to allow for higher paying fees to subsidize lower paying fees. It has multiple use cases, each with an amount of transactions per unit of time, the confirmation speed wanted and a maximum fees it wants to pay. It uses my own fee estimation code so that the use cases use as little fees as needed (not the same as included in Bitcoin core). The mempool simply has a maximum number of transactions, lowest fee transactions are evicted (and reported). Number of transactions grow 0.1% per block.
Its written in .Net and it doesn't have a GUI (yet).
Here are some screenshots from the data it generates.
Current configured miners:
new Miner {Name = "A", HashingPower = 0.1, SoftLimit = 1000, Subsidize = false, TransactionCost = 1}, new Miner {Name = "B", HashingPower = 0.2, SoftLimit = 1000, Subsidize = true, TransactionCost = 5}, new Miner {Name = "C", HashingPower = 0.4, SoftLimit = 750, Subsidize = false, TransactionCost = 4}, new Miner {Name = "D", HashingPower = 0.2, SoftLimit = 250, Subsidize = false, TransactionCost = 6}, new Miner {Name = "E", HashingPower = 0.1, SoftLimit = 1000, Subsidize = true, TransactionCost = 20},
Current configured use cases:
new UseCase { TransactionsPerTick = 0.12, ConfirmationSpeedNeeded = 99, MaxFees = 0}, new UseCase { TransactionsPerTick = 0.06, ConfirmationSpeedNeeded = 99, MaxFees = 1}, new UseCase { TransactionsPerTick = 0.06, ConfirmationSpeedNeeded = 99, MaxFees = 2}, new UseCase { TransactionsPerTick = 0.06, ConfirmationSpeedNeeded = 99, MaxFees = 4}, new UseCase { TransactionsPerTick = 0.06, ConfirmationSpeedNeeded = 99, MaxFees = 5}, new UseCase { TransactionsPerTick = 0.05, ConfirmationSpeedNeeded = 6, MaxFees = 10}, new UseCase { TransactionsPerTick = 0.04, ConfirmationSpeedNeeded = 3, MaxFees = 20}, new UseCase { TransactionsPerTick = 0.03, ConfirmationSpeedNeeded = 2, MaxFees = 500}, new UseCase { TransactionsPerTick = 0.02, ConfirmationSpeedNeeded = 1, MaxFees = 1000}, new UseCase { TransactionsPerTick = 0.01, ConfirmationSpeedNeeded = 1, MaxFees = 2000},
I configured it now to start at 10 ticks per block on average. The soft limits as configured effectively simulate the blocksize limit. I don't have orphans, I don't have RBF and transactions are always assumed the same size.

I'm looking for a Bitcoin simulator for people to play with who are new to Bitcoin

I'm looking to see if there are any projects which allow you to setup your own Bitcoin network in a closed network.
I want to give people an introduction to Bitcoin and allow them to send money to eachother and do a little bit of mining during the workshop, so they can have a feel for it.
I've already come across the Shadow project with bitcoin plugin, but was wondering if there might be other prjects available like that?

I created a Bitcoin simulator to simulate the Fee Event, maybe educate /r/bitcoin

I created a simulator to test out the Fee Event as described by Jeff Garzik, to get some objective data for myself and maybe open some eyes on the other side. So for the people who missed it:
As posted on /bitcoin:
It has multiple configurable miners each with their own hashing power, soft limit, cost per transaction (now assumed linear) and a setting to allow for higher paying fees to subsidize lower paying fees. Current configured use cases:
new UseCase { TransactionsPerTick = 0.12, ConfirmationSpeedNeeded = 99, MaxFees = 0}, new UseCase { TransactionsPerTick = 0.06, ConfirmationSpeedNeeded = 99, MaxFees = 1}, new UseCase { TransactionsPerTick = 0.06, ConfirmationSpeedNeeded = 99, MaxFees = 2}, new UseCase { TransactionsPerTick = 0.06, ConfirmationSpeedNeeded = 99, MaxFees = 4}, new UseCase { TransactionsPerTick = 0.06, ConfirmationSpeedNeeded = 99, MaxFees = 5}, new UseCase { TransactionsPerTick = 0.05, ConfirmationSpeedNeeded = 6, MaxFees = 10}, new UseCase { TransactionsPerTick = 0.04, ConfirmationSpeedNeeded = 3, MaxFees = 20}, new UseCase { TransactionsPerTick = 0.03, ConfirmationSpeedNeeded = 2, MaxFees = 500}, new UseCase { TransactionsPerTick = 0.02, ConfirmationSpeedNeeded = 1, MaxFees = 1000}, new UseCase { TransactionsPerTick = 0.01, ConfirmationSpeedNeeded = 1, MaxFees = 2000},

Trading/bitcoin simulator?

I play some mobile games and i happen to watch the ads that help grinding (Adventure Capitalist is my current poison). So many ads are about all these trading apps that are coming out, and i'm interested in the concept of trading, but since i don't have any interest in investing real money i was wondering if there are any games that simulate that, or if you guys think the idea is any good.
